The Lion and the Mouse
One day a Lion was laying under a tree in the jungle asleep. A mouse ran across the Lion's nose and woke him up. The Lion quickly caught the little mouse by the tail. "Please dont hurt me oh Great Lion" begged the mouse. "I have a large family to feed and who would look after them if I cant" the little mouse sobbed. "I am sure one day I will be able to repay your kindness in some way" The Lion felt sorry for the little mouse and said "I will let you go but I do not think that someone as small as you, could ever help me. I am King of the Jungle" The Lion let the little mouse go and began to wander through the jungle. The Lion wasnt watching where he was going and walked through a large patch of thorns. He roared and roared in pain and tried to get the thorns out of his paws but although they were sharp and painful, the thorns were very small. The lion could not get the thorns out of his feet. Suddenly the little mouse appeared and said to the lion "Let me help you get the thorns out of your feet. They are small like me" The little mouse was able to remove every thorn from the Lion's feet. The Lion was so happy and thanked the little mouse.

Little friends can prove to be big friends.
